How big can you print? Pixels, DPI and print size โ with the megapixel print chart.
Open calculator โWhy ShutterMath?
๐ Modern camera database
Most online DoF calculators stopped updating their camera lists a decade ago. Ours includes the bodies you can actually buy in 2026 โ mirrorless, DSLR, and phones.
๐งฎ Standard, accurate formulas
Hyperfocal H = fยฒ/(Nยทc) + f with the standard circle-of-confusion convention (sensor diagonal รท 1500). Every result is printable.
๐พ Built to return
Save camera + lens setups in your browser, share result links, print cheat sheets for your bag. Your settings are there next time โ no account needed.

Are these calculators free?
Yes โ every tool on ShutterMath is free, runs entirely in your browser, and works offline once loaded. No accounts, no watermarks, no limits.
Why do results differ from other calculators?
The two usual culprits: the circle-of-confusion standard (we use the common diagonalรท1500 convention, applied from your camera's exact sensor size) and whether the formula adds the focal-length term. Our formulas are the standard published ones.
Can I print the results?
Yes. Every calculator page has a print button that produces a clean cheat sheet โ just the results and the formula reference, no navigation or controls.
Do you store my data?
No. Your setups are saved only in your own browser's local storage, and we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools help people. See our Privacy Policy.
